Meet our President
Dr. Rob Davies brings over two decades of radiological expertise and leadership to the Alberta Society of Radiologists, where he serves as President of the Executive Council as well as the President, AMA- Section of Diagnostic Imaging. He has been a key figure at the Canada Diagnostic Centres (CDC) since 2004, and currently serves as Medical Director, overseeing imaging services across Alberta.
Dr. Davies is fully accredited to interpret Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, Radiography (X-Ray), Mammography, MRI, CT, and Bone Density. His specializations include image-guided pain management, obstetrical ultrasound, and breast imaging/interventions.
In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Davies is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary, mentoring the next generation of radiologists. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys life in Calgary with his wife Nichole and their young family.
Meet our CEO
Amanda Davison joined the Alberta Society of Radiologists as Chief Executive Officer in August 2023 after 17 years of leadership roles working within the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services- Cancer Care Alberta environment.
Throughout her career, Amanda Davison has focused on strategic partnership and big-picture thinking. Skilled at rapidly assessing diverse circumstances and challenges, Amanda finds strategic solutions that ensure organizational goals are achieved effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.
Building on training in public relations and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Executive Management at Royal Roads University, she can create a roadmap to success, and communicate the plan to inspire colleagues to enact it together. Amanda also is a Certified Health Executive (CHE) from the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
